For over a decade, Paul Burk has been creating enduring images for architects, builders and design professionals. Exhibited and published widely, Paul’s work combines exceptional technical skill with a unique sensitivity to the poetics of place.
Paul earned an MFA Degree in Photography from Indiana University in 1998. The following year, he travelled to Romania on a Fulbright Grant to chronicle that country’s heartrending legacy of massive industrialization. That body of work received numerous accolades, including a solo exhibition at Bucharest's Museum of Romanian Literature and Arts.
Paul's commercial work draws on his background and formal training, combining a rigorous formal aesthetic with a keen instinct for visual storytelling. His images seamlessly fuse light, texture, proportion and form to give visual expression to the pathos, drama, and nuance of his subjects. This deliberative approach to image-making has produced photographs as timeless, evocative, and inspiring as the spaces they depict.
Paul is currently based in Baltimore Maryland and serves the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.
